(Biology Book: Unit 2, Chapter 5, Page 122)

Defintion- the largest number of individuals a given environment can support.

The Graph- if you notice right after the population shoots up it decreases. This is because when it goes over or overshoots the resources run out in the environment, so the population decreases until the resourses are replentish, then it repeats this cycle.

The Picture- represents an overloaded environment.
The spill out represents the lives loss to over population
with few resources left.
